We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive and mature our organizations Software Currency Management practice. This individual will be responsible for defining, executing, and managing our software currency framework across the enterprise. You will work cross-functionally with Technology, InfoSec, and Vendor Management teams to build a proactive and measurable software lifecycle strategy that ensures we remain current, secure, and efficient.

You will work cross-functionally with Technology, InfoSec, and Vendor Management teams to build a proactive and measurable software lifecycle strategy that ensures we remain current, secure, and efficient.
Critical Activities:
- Inventory Management:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all enterprise applications, systems, services, and their associated technology stacks.
- Version Tracking:
- Establish processes to track current deployed versions versus latest available versions for all components.
- Support Status Monitoring:
- Regularly assess and flag technologies approaching or beyond end-of-support or end-of-life (EOL) dates.
- Cost Management:
- Track license costs, renewal schedules, and extended support fees to optimize software spending and reduce waste.
- Risk Assessment:
- Identify and quantify security, operational, and compliance risks due to outdated or unsupported technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Software Currency Strategy:
- Establish and lead the organizations software currency vision, framework, and governance model.
- Develop a Software Inventory:
- Collaborate with Technology and Vendor Management teams to identify all technologies in use and maintain an accurate, consolidated view in the enterprise CMDB.
- Lifecycle Management:
- Design processes to capture key lifecycle data (EOL/EOS dates, upgrade paths, certification timelines) for all technology components and integrate into delivery workflows.
- Embed into Delivery Process:
- Define checkpoints in the technology delivery lifecycle to ensure every deployed application and its tech stack are updated in the CMDB.
- Run the Software Currency Decision Board:
- Establish and chair a governance body to evaluate software currency health, risks, and investments across the portfolio.
- Create and Manage Scorecards:
- Develop and maintain Software Currency Scorecards at application, business unit, and enterprise levels using defined KPIs and KRIs.
- Define and Monitor KPIs/KRIs:
- Establish metrics that reflect currency health, tech debt, risk exposure, and remediation progress.
- Performance Integration:
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to incorporate software currency goals into performance management for relevant roles in Tech, InfoSec, and Business units.
- Insight Generation and Reporting:
- Generate actionable insights into software currency, interdependence, and investment needs through regular analysis and reporting.
- Tooling and Automation:
- Evaluate and recommend tools or platforms to automate and streamline currency data collection, reporting, and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading enterprise-level software lifecycle or technology asset management initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise software stacks, application architecture, and CMDB management.
- Demonstrated ability to define frameworks, governance processes, and drive cultural change in technology organizations.
- Experience with performance metrics, KPIs/KRIs, and scorecard development.
- Familiarity with ITIL, CMDB platforms, and vendor lifecycle data.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with tooling platforms like ServiceNow, Flexera, or similar.
- Knowledge of InfoSec risk frameworks and their correlation with software obsolescence.
- Background in technology portfolio management or enterprise architecture.
