Role: Data Engineer
Location: Acton, MA 01720/ San Diego 92121 -2/3 Days Per week
Duration: Long term Contract



Key Responsibilities:
1) High level of SQL Knowledge - Write and maintain SQL queries with Databricks merging data from multiple sources to generate rich datasets and actional insights.
2) Maintain and update monthly pipeline data refresh
3) Working on claims data on monthly basis e.g. update competitive updates, TAM
4) Leverage claims data, real-world evidence, product usage, and other patient-level insights to build robust datasets and conduct analyses that drive market intelligence and enhance consumer experience.
5) Use data validation principles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data.
6) Assist senior managers and the senior director in developing KPIs and operational metrics tailored to project requirements.
7) Develop visualizations like charts, graphs, and dashboards to display information using tools like Tableau, Databricks Gen AI/BI Genie, Excel, etc.
8) Manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9) Track project progress, manage timelines, and keep stakeholders informed.
10) Manage relationships with external vendors/partners


Qualifications:



  • Create and maintain database objects

  • High level of SQL Knowledge - Design, write, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures

  • Generate reports and data extracts to support

  • Perform ad hoc data analysis to support business operations and investigations

  • Take ownership of file feeds, ensuring timely and accurate delivery

  • Fluent understanding of data models, schemas, and databases to support analytical and reporting needs, and use SQL for data manipulation and querying

  • Advanced proficiency in data processing

  • Advanced capabilities with data profiling, validation, and analytics

  • Advanced analytics skillsets with MS Excel, making use of Excel's data retrieval capabilities, pivot tables, data comparison operations, etc.

  • Strong ability to explore, discover, and map out large data pipelines that support the processing of structured and semi-structured data

  • Clear communications skills with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable business recommendations

  • Ability to navigate and solve problems with imperfect/siloed data sets

  • Ability to work and collaborate across functions and groups

  • Able to take initiative to explore and identify solutions rather than waiting for direction

  • Familiarity with healthcare datasets, including claims data and patient-level data.

  • Experience working with medical device data, especially in the context of diabetes, is preferred.

  • Eagerness to thrive in a rapidly growing business and contribute to its evolution.

  • Passion for learning and expanding analytical and strategic capabilities.
