This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer - Business Analyst to join our Solutions team at our global media client. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating on work products with a team to document processes and findings into appropriately written documents. This may include documentation of business requirements, acceptance criterion, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test scripts and user acceptance testing. You will work with a peer review board to ensure all artifacts created by the team are in alignment with the business, accurate, and free of errors. This project will include documenting workflows and mapping operational processes across different teams and systems.

The Technical Writer-Business Analyst will work closely with the team to understand findings and document everything into clear and concise written products using Microsoft Word. A team player with experience in enterprise software development as a technical writer/business analyst is the ideal candidate for this project. We are defining business requirements to be used for upcoming application development and your contributions will play a large role in our success!

This position must be worked onsite in a Hybrid schedule in the Greater Los Angeles area (close to Hollywood) requiring the work to be done onsite Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays, and may require coming onsite or allow remote on Mondays and Fridays. Responsibilities



  • Work closely with the business to understand findings and collaborate in the creation of defined business requirements and SOPs

  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders to understand workflows and processes and be able to synthesize information into clear documentation

  • Develop and maintain clear and concise written documentation of findings using Microsoft Word

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of written documentation

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure written documentation meets their needs

  • Continuously improve written documentation based on feedback from stakeholders

  • Edit and proofread technical documents to ensure they are free of errors

  • Format technical documents using Microsoft Word to improve readability

  • Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously

  • Participate in peer review sessions and action feedback in a timely manner


Requirements



  • At least 5 years of experience as a technical writer or business analyst within Enterprise IT environments

  • Experience with finance or accounting software systems is required

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word to format technical documents

  • Experience working with industrial engineering or process modeling concepts

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work closely with technical experts to understand their findings

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience working in creative, media or entertainment environment is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, journalism or related field


Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $48-55/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
