Job Description:

This position is responsible for leading complex technical database activities in support of regulatory services systems. The role includes development and maintenance of data warehouses and reporting systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, testing, debugging, and documenting complex program code.

  • Participating in code walk-throughs and maintaining system documentation.

  • Working collaboratively with development team members and end users.

  • Creating and maintaining both technical and user documentation.

  • Determining and implementing database search strategies and storage requirements.

  • Monitoring performance and implementing efficiency improvements.

  • Managing data dictionaries and enforcing standards for their use.

  • Creating test database environments and executing recovery procedures.

  • Supporting database software installation and disaster recovery efforts.

  • Ensuring accessibility compliance for user interfaces and reporting systems.

The role also requires experience in computer systems analysis and programming, with strong knowledge of:

  • Computer operations, systems design, and procedures.

  • Programming languages and database technologies.

  • Data modeling and EIR (Electronic and Information Resources) Accessibility standards.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience evaluating user requests for new data elements and integrating into shared data environments.

  • 7 years of experience with data modeling tools such as Tableau, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica, etc.

  • 7 years of experience in developing logical/physical data models and Entity Relationship Diagrams.

  • 7 years of experience implementing database objects in Oracle Cloud RDBMS and Salesforce CRM.

  • 7 years of experience as an advanced data modeler with the ability to design, create, and maintain production database models.

  • 7 years of experience generating database scripts using modeling tools.

  • 7 years of experience incorporating changes into data model designs.

  • 7 years of experience writing source-to-target mapping to support ETL processes.

  • 7 years of experience developing stored procedures, triggers, and complex PL/SQL packages.

  • 7 years of experience performing requirements analysis and data mapping guidance for development teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience coordinating with IT, development, and operations teams.

  • 5 years of demonstrated creativity and independent judgment in planning and execution.

  • 4 years of strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.

  • 4 years of familiarity with industry-standard practices and procedures.

  • 2 years of experience with ETL processes and tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

  • Certification in Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Informatica.

  • Experience with PERL scripting.

  • Experience creating Tableau dashboards.
