Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications, consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals.
2. Supervise and mentor a team of quality control engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and mutual respect.
3. Lead the investigation of any quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive measures.
4. Oversee the inspection of incoming and outgoing materials for quality, utilizing gauge reliability techniques.
5. Coordinate with the engineering team to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
6. Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
7. Conduct regular audits of the quality control systems, reporting findings to senior management and recommending improvements.
8. Participate in the review of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations.
9. Assist in the preparation of technical and contract documentation for the engineering projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a quality role within the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience with gauge reliability and other quality control methodologies.
4. Strong knowledge of quality assurance terminologies, tools, and standards.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.
7. Detail-oriented with a dedication to the improvement of products and processes.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Proficient in using various software applications related to quality control and data analysis.
10. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) would be considered an asset.
