Job Details
Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server databases (versions 2012 and above)

Monitor database performance and proactively address performance issues
-
Implement and manage database security policies, roles, and access controls
-
Perform backup and recovery operations using native SQL Server tools and third-party solutions
-
Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On, Log Shipping, Replication)
-
Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views
-
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database design, architecture, and optimization
-
Conduct regular database health checks and maintenance (indexing, statistics updates, etc.)
-
Monitor and tune SQL queries for optimal performance
-
Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and procedures
-
Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy policies (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
-
5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment
-
Strong proficiency with T-SQL and database performance tuning
-
Hands-on experience with SQL Server tools (SSMS, Profiler, DTA, etc.)

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Analysis Services (SSAS)
-
Solid understanding of data security best practices
Preferred:
-
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent certification
-
Experience with cloud-based SQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS)
-
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting or other automation tools
-
Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools and practices for database deployment
