One of our clients is urgently looking for a Sr. Datacenter Engineer.

Hourly: Depends on the experience

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Center Engineer with 7-10 years of experience, particularly in colocation and wholesale data center environments. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience and be actively engaged in managing data center operations.

While the role can be remote, it would be ideal to have someone located in or around the South Bay/greater San Jose area to allow proximity to one of our data centers.

Desired Qualifications/Experience

The candidate should possess expertise in the following areas:

  • Contribute to the design, buildout, and expansion of enterprise data center environments, including power, cooling, networking, storage, and compute infrastructure.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with rack PDUs, new installations, upgrades, firmware updates, and IP configuration.
  • Proficiency in data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software, including asset and power management.
  • Deployment, installation, and configuration of servers, storage arrays, network hardware, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of data center capacity planning (power, space, cooling) to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Familiarity with hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, vendor coordination, and RMA processes.
