Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Zero Trust Senior Solutions Architect to support our federal client in implementing cutting-edge security measures. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Zero Trust architectures to safeguard critical assets and data against emerging cyber threats. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies and contribute to the security posture of our federal client.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement Zero Trust architectures tailored to the specific needs and requirements of our federal client.

Serve as the subject matter expert on Zero Trust principles, methodologies, and technologies, including micro-segmentation, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential security gaps within existing systems and propose effective mitigation strategies.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, network architects, and compliance specialists, to integrate Zero Trust principles into existing infrastructure and applications.

Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with Zero Trust principles and federal regulations.

Provide technical guidance and support during the implementation of Zero Trust solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements.

Conduct security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to validate the effectiveness of Zero Trust controls and identify potential weaknesses.

Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on Zero Trust concepts, best practices, and emerging threats.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, implementation guides, and security policies, to support ongoing operations and compliance efforts.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving threats related to Zero Trust security, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness of our security posture.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on architecture design and implementation.

Proven expertise in designing and implementing Zero Trust architectures in complex enterprise environments, preferably within the federal sector.

In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations, including NIST SP 800-207, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP.

Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS).

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or relevant vendor-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer) highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.

Education:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Advanced degree preferred.
