Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to support our healthcare engagement, focusing on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and compliant DevOps solutions for healthcare applications. This role will architect CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks that meet the stringent requirements of the healthcare industry while enabling rapid, reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

Design and architect enterprise-scale DevOps platforms supporting multi-channel, high-volume, high-transaction healthcare applications

Develop comprehensive CI/CD pipeline strategies for both on-premise and cloud-based solutions

Create architectural blueprints for microservices-based applications and containerized deployments

Lead the "factory of the future" approach to software development operations, treating development processes as manufacturing operations

Establish DevOps best practices and standards aligned with healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH)

Technical Leadership

Architect and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related tools

Design container orchestration solutions using Kubernetes and Docker for scalable application deployment

Lead cloud infrastructure design and implementation on Microsoft Azure platform

Architect monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for healthcare applications

Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Resource Manager

Platform Engineering

Build and maintain self-service development platforms that enable rapid application development and deployment

Architect data pipeline solutions integrating with Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and analytics platforms

Design and implement automated testing frameworks supporting continuous integration

Create scalable solutions supporting petabyte-scale data and high-availability requirements

Architect integration solutions between legacy systems and modern cloud-native applications

Collaboration & Mentorship

Partner with software engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Mentor development teams on DevOps best practices and toolchain adoption

Collaborate with security teams to implement DevSecOps practices

Work closely with product managers and business analysts to ensure technical solutions meet functional requirements

Lead cross-functional teams in implementing agile and DevOps methodologies

Required Technical Skills

Core Technologies

Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (primary), including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage

Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

CI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM Templates, Azure Resource Manager

Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics

Programming & Scripting

Languages: PowerShell, Python, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript

Frameworks: Spring Boot, .NET Core, Angular, React

Database Technologies: SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, NoSQL databases

Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python for automation

Required Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in DevOps, cloud architecture, or software engineering roles.

Leadership: Minimum 5 years in technical leadership positions, preferably managing DevOps transformations.

Healthcare: 3+ years' experience in healthcare IT or highly regulated industries.

Scale: Experience architecting solutions supporting millions of users and high-transaction volumes.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure Solutions Architect certification or equivalent cloud certifications.

Experience with Cloud Foundry platform.

Knowledge of healthcare data security and privacy regulations.

Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or similar content management platforms.

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Experience with microservices architecture and API design.

Increase deployment frequency and reduce lead time for changes

Improve system reliability and reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR)

Enable self-service capabilities for development teams
