Our health-sector client is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support enterprise-wide initiatives across metadata management, data quality, data ownership, and stewardship. This remote/ HYBRID role will work closely with business teams, governance leads, and external partners to strengthen governance capabilities and operationalize data governance practices across the organization.

- Validated CDEs and documented data quality rules.
- Refined data ownership and stewardship framework, including roles and responsibilities.
- Business-approved documentation for metadata and data quality updates.
- Knowledge transfer and governance support materials.
- Training and awareness support.
- Adoption plan and related metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality practices.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or similar enterprise data cataloging tools.
- Experience operationalizing data governance within business units.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate business alignment on governance standards and definitions.
- Knowledge of data stewardship and ownership models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
