An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our Prototyping and Reliability team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

What You Will Do
  • Mechanical design and certain electrical design portion of projects
  • Interact with a cross-functional team on a daily basis
  • Work with SME to provide end to end support from concept and design to procurement and testing
  • Collaborate and communicate on project progress and design details

What You Will Learn
  • Structural design in the RF microelectronics field using Creo and AutoCad
  • Design trade-offs between key metrics covering performance, cost, schedule and manufacturability
  • Tolerance studies, material selection and procurement
  • PWB board design
  • RF module testing in engineering labs

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum entering their sophomore year by the start of summer 2026.

  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board manufacturing

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
