Position Overview

A leading organization is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom applications and workflows within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ITSM processes, scripting, integrations, and platform administration to support a range of enterprise solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Understand ServiceNow architecture including tables, scripts, workflows, and ACLs.

  • Work with ServiceNow ITSM modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB.

  • Develop and maintain custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine.

  • Strong JavaScript skills for ServiceNow scripting.

  • Utilize Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideAjax, etc.).

  • Create and manage Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Workflow Scripts.

  • Develop Service Portal components using AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.

  • Integrate with third-party systems using REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Configure Workflows, Flow Designer, and Automation Rules.

  • Set up Forms, Fields, and UI Actions.

  • Manage Access Control Rules (ACLs).

  • Configure Service Catalog & Request Management.

  • Apply ITIL best practices for Incident, Change, Problem, and Asset Management.

  • Configure SLAs, notifications, and escalations.

  • Implement IntegrationHub for no-code/low-code integrations.

  • Use Orchestration to automate IT tasks.

  • Configure MID Server for integrations with on-premise systems.

  • Use Script Debugger and System Logs for debugging.

  • Optimize performance of scripts and queries.

  • Maintain Instance Health and monitor platform performance.

  • Enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

  • Ensure data protection and encryption.

  • Comply with governance and regulatory frameworks.

  • Create dashboards, reports, and performance analytics.

  • Generate CMDB reports and track SLAs effectively.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer supporting enterprise ITSM solutions.

  • Strong scripting skills using JavaScript and Glide API.

  • Proficiency with ServiceNow App Engine and Service Portal development.

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITSM best practices.

  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

  • Ability to configure workflows, automation rules, and maintain platform security.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IntegrationHub and Orchestration.

  • Familiarity with MID Server configuration and on-premise integrations.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for platform performance optimization.

  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and SLA tracking within ServiceNow.

  • Knowledge of governance frameworks and compliance standards.
