The Ask? Client is looking for a SAP Basis, Security & Operations Lead. to coordinate closely with client IT stakeholders and offshore Basis/SecOps teams to ensure system stability, compliance, and seamless operations during the transformation
Skills and Experience_
- 15+ years SAP Basis experience including S/4HANA system administration.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP Security, GRC, and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA DB, Solution Manager, and cloud-hosted SAP (RISE/Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform).
- Proficiency with SAPCAR, SWPM, SUM/DMO, and SAP Maintenance Planner.
- Experience with transport management (CTS/CTS+) and system refresh strategies.
- Ability to configure SNC/Kerberos, TLS/SSL, and Single Sign-On (SSO) for SAP systems.
- Proven experience with system monitoring tools (Solution Manager, CCMS, Cloud ALM, Focused Run).
- Experience with backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery for SAP HANA.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with functional, development, and infrastructure teams.
- Preferred:
- SAP Basis or Security certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate, SAP GRC).
- CISSP/CISM or equivalent information security certifications.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or Aviation industry implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP Basis administration including system installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Oversee security role design, GRC workflows, segregation of duties, and compliance monitoring.
- Establish operational monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery processes for SAP systems.
- Coordinate with offshore SecOps and Basis teams for daily operations and incident management.
- Support testing, cutover planning, and hypercare stabilization activities.
- Conduct system health checks and capacity planning; implement proactive performance improvements.
- Partner with Infrastructure/Cloud teams for system availability and SLA compliance.
- Provide guidance on integration security and API/data protection measures.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and security processes.
- Manage SAP transport management system (CTS/CTS+) ensuring controlled code/config migrations.
- Configure and manage SAP Solution Manager/Focused Run for monitoring, diagnostics, and change management.
- Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support package applications, and OSS note implementations.
- Ensure proper sizing, load balancing, and performance tuning of SAP HANA and application servers.
- Administer SAP Fiori/Launchpad setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support integration of SAP with non-SAP systems at the infrastructure level.
- Implement technical user management, RFC destinations, and background job scheduling.
- Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and dual landscape management for dev/test/prod.
- Design and implement HA/DR solutions for SAP HANA (HANA System Replication, clustering, backups).
