Job Details

The Vehicle Alignment Auditor is responsible for overseeing and verifying the accuracy of wheel alignment procedures performed on our vehicles. This role ensures that alignment services meet manufacturer specifications, shop standards, and customer expectations. The Auditor combines technical expertise with attention to detail to maintain quality control, troubleshoot alignment issues, and support technicians in delivering precise and reliable results.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and audit completed wheel alignments to confirm they meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and industry standards (e.g., Hunter, John Bean, or equivalent alignment systems)
  • Diagnostics: Identify and diagnose alignment-related issues, such as improper adjustments, equipment malfunctions, or technician errors
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance and hands-on training to service technicians on proper alignment techniques, equipment usage, and best practices
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of alignment audits, including measurements (e.g., camber, caster, toe), discrepancies found, and corrective actions taken
  • Customer Interaction: Collaborate with Quality Engineering and General Assembly to explain alignment findings when needed

Requirements
  • Manufacturer-specific alignment training (e.g., Hunter Engineering certification) is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle suspension, steering, and alignment systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with multiple models (Model S, X, 3 and Y) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting alignment data and identifying deviations
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

      $30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
