Overview:
Vaco is seeking a skilled TIBCO Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a healthcare client. The developer will contribute in a collaborative Agile team, responsible for reviewing, enhancing, and maintaining programming systems. Key tasks include coding, testing, debugging, and documenting both new and existing applications. This role requires onsite presence in Addison, TX, four days per week. While non-local candidates are welcome to apply, relocation assistance is not available. Candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must be legally eligible to work in the United States, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.

Job Scope:
- Collaborate with end users and IT staff to define project requirements and ensure proper testing of developed solutions.
- Respond to Help Desk tickets related to software development issues.
- Design and develop database schemas to support application requirements.
- Integrate internal systems with third-party vendor platforms using TIBCO Master File Transfer and BusinessConnect.
- Monitor business processes and infrastructure performance using TIBCO Hawk, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
- Develop custom reports using various reporting tools to fulfill user and business requests.
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for TIBCO applications using Bamboo.
- Provide reusable frameworks for exception handling, logging, and auditing in TIBCO.
- Lead the development of small-scale applications with limited supervision.
- Stay up to date on new technologies and recommend cost-effective improvements.
- Perform unit and regression testing using SOAP UI and HP Functional Testing tools.
- Maintain and update disaster recovery procedures when changes occur in hardware or applications.
- Follow defined Agile methodologies and internal standards when executing development tasks.
- Create TIBCO-based interfaces to support system integration and data flow.
- Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance and support.
- Ensure management is informed of critical issues or those impacting service levels.
- Track and address unresolved issues daily to ensure ongoing progress and resolution.
- Monitor for unauthorized access and report security-related incidents involving corporate data.
Must Have Requirements:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or possesses equivalent education and hands-on experience
- Brings over 5 years of expertise in TIBCO development and architecture, specifically with TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x or later, including EMS/JMS setup, queue/topic creation, and EMS configuration
- Skilled in using TIBCO BusinessWorks plugins for handling RESTful services and JSON data formats
- Proficient in building B2B integration solutions using TIBCO BusinessConnect
- Familiar with EHR systems such as Allscripts TouchWorks, with hands-on experience integrating with healthcare platforms
- Strong knowledge of XML technologies including XML structure, XSD schema definitions, XSLT transformations, and XPATH querying
- Experienced in working with a variety of protocols, including JMS, REST, SOAP, and healthcare-specific formats such as EDI 835 and 837
- Competent in designing and developing Java-based applications using the JEE platform and Spring framework
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus.
- Prior experience dealing with Health Level Seven (HL7), international standards for exchanging, integrating, sharing, and retrieving electronic health information
