Role: QA Automation Engineer
Location: San Francisco or Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid)
Project description
For one of our clients, we are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in TestComplete and UFT to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts across web, and mobile platforms, with a strong focus on Salesforce and enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- TestComplete Automation:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts for web, and mobile applications using TestComplete.
- Implement keyword-driven and data-driven testing approaches.
- Strong scripting skills in VBScript for writing automation scripts
- Utilize TestComplete's object recognition and synchronization techniques for robust automation.
- Design reusable test components and libraries to enhance test efficiency.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.
- UFT (Unified Functional Testing):
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using UFT/QTP.
- Strong scripting skills in VBScript for writing automation scripts
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Maintain and update existing UFT test frameworks and scripts.
- Integrate UFT tests with test management tools like ALM/Quality Center.
Skills
Must have
- The candidate must have 10 years of experience in automation testing with proven expertise in the specified tools and technologies. A strong understanding of QA processes and lifecycle is essential, along with solid scripting and analytical capabilities.
Technical Skills & Tools:
- Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with TestComplete and UFT.
- Scripting Knowledge: Proficient in VBScript.
- Test Frameworks: Experience with Keyword-driven and Data-driven frameworks.
- Bug Tracking: Proficient in using JIRA for defect tracking and management.
- Platforms: Testing experience on Web platforms (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and Mobile platforms.
- APIs: Experience with Salesforce SOAP APIs.
- QA Processes: Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in automation testing.
- Proven expertise in TestComplete, UFT, and Copado Robotic Testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Preferred Attributes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to framework evolution.
