Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a contract with a client in Bentonville, AR. Candidates must have hands-on experience deploying scalable systems in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform or Azure, with a strong focus on testability and performance optimization.
Rate Range: $37/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:
- Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant microservices using Java, Scala, Go, Spring Boot, and RESTful architecture.
- Deploy reactive microservices in Kubernetes environments on public cloud platforms like Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform) and Microsoft Azure.
- Architect distributed systems with a focus on performance, multithreading, and reliability across n-tier applications.
- Implement robust testing strategies using JUnit and Mockito to ensure high test coverage and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain disciplined development practices including code reviews, documentation, and performance tuning.
- Design and optimize data models using SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Cassandra, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in backend development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with hands-on experience building reactive microservices deployed in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform or Azure.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, multithreading, performance tuning, and database design using SQL and NoSQL technologies like Oracle, Cassandra, and Azure Cosmos DB.
