Introduction
ASML is seeking a summer intern in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, to join the Defectivity Group in the Wilton, CT location. Within ASML, the Development & Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification and design of ASML products. The Defectivity group is responsible for creating the perfect environment within the vacuum reticle modules in cutting edge EUV lithography machines. We take many approaches, such as designing the gas flow in vacuum, choosing the correct materials and designing cleanliness processes. As ASML pushes the boundaries of nanotechnology beyond current state of the art, we need to study nanoparticle behavior in new ways. We are looking for someone to help pioneer knowledge in this developing area

As an Algorithm Engineering Intern, you will design, realize, and improve the efficiency of ASML computational lithography software tools.

Education and Experience
The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $18.00 - $57.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. Job Mission
As an Algorithm Engineering Intern, you will design, realize, and improve the efficiency of ASML computational lithography software tools.
Your Assignment
- To develop major features and improvements for the widely used computational lithography verification software
- To help boost product performance
- To develop geometry operation library
- To support module integration
- To build advanced tools for defect inspection and prediction
- Other duties as assigned
- No lab or cleanroom access
Education and Experience
- Currently pursing Master Degree a Master/PhD degree in engineering field
- Programming with C++
- Understanding in data structures and algorithms
- Familiar with SQL, UNIX environment and scripting languages
- Effective communication skills
- Problem solving skills
