Job Details

4 10 years as a Couchbase Database Administrator.

The consultant must demonstrate at minimum:

Database Management/Administration Install, configure, administer, and support Couchbase Server instances, including NoSQL data storage and retrieval.

Performance Optimization Monitor and maintain database/bucket health, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement sound solutions; includes Couchbase index creation, management, and tuning.

Capacity Planning Plan and manage database/bucket capacity to meet current and future needs (storage, memory, processing power).

Backup and Recovery Define and implement robust backup and archival strategies to ensure data integrity and enable quick recovery.

Security Implement and maintain database security measures (access control, encryption, patching, auditing).

Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve database/bucket issues, including performance problems, errors, and security breaches.

Collaboration Work with end users and developers to design schemas and troubleshoot data access and manipulation issues.

Automation Automate routine tasks (backups, monitoring, maintenance) using scripts and tools.

Documentation Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the Couchbase environment (configurations, procedures, troubleshooting).

Replication Manage Cross Data Center Replication (XDCR) of the Couchbase environment.

Upgrades Perform SDK library, kernel, and operating system upgrades for Couchbase
