ABOUT THE TEAM
The Sentry Engineering team builds world-leading hardware products and systems that leverage artificial intelligence to provide highly accurate, persistent autonomous awareness across land, sea and air. With an AI-enabled edge processing, continuous 360 pan / tilt capability, and a variety of radars and sensors, Sentry can autonomously identify, detect, and track objects of interest to bring increased awareness to military bases, border, oil and gas pipelines, airports and other critical infrastructure. Actionable data provided by the Sentry product line ultimately provides potentially life-saving information to commercial, government, and military operators worldwide.
ABOUT THE JOB
To further grow both the capability and scale of our Sentry products, Anduril Industries is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to join our Sentry Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with analog and digital electronics, PCB design, and productization of new developments along with the ability to lead a team, ensuring the successful execution of projects and team development for both ground and air deterrence and defense applications.
This role will own rapidly developed, ruggedized product introduction in addition to scaling legacy design concepts to support full-rate production. The ideal candidate will possess a rapid prototyping, growth mindset while ensuring concepts can scale rapidly to production-ready designs capable of deployment throughout the world.

US Salary Range
$170,000-$255,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Demonstrated ability to lead ruggedized embedded electronics designs from inception to production, ensuring reliability and system integration.
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers as part of the larger Air and Ground Defense electrical department.
- Hands on full cycle PCB and LRU design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with larger systems.
- Experience with embedded computing and/or mechatronics architecture
- Ability to to work collaboratively with other teams to define product requirements, develop specifications for all critical Sentry support systems, write and execute design verification test plans.
- Understanding and apply hardware evaluation techniques, including test case development for Design Verification Test (DVT), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and Qualification Test Procedures (QTP).
- Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and BOM management with vendors.
- Experience in the electrical integration of medium to large scale vehicles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 7+ years of experience designing, testing and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive, or similar hardware.
- Proven track record for scaling quality versions of said hardware into a production state.
- Proven leadership or management experience in guiding highly technical and motivated engineers.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, Analog circuits, etc.
- Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies.
- Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
- Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tool.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Advanced Degree: A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and other relevant industry standards.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technical decisions with the company's business strategy.
- Support for software and firmware development related to motion control, sensing, payload integration, power management, and networking.
- Familiarity with high power (2kW+) systems.
