Job Description Summary
The Lead Engineer - Testing will be part of the Advanced Analysis and Methods team in the Turbine Module. Main responsibilities include the design, development and testing of products, solutions and systems pertaining to the mitigation of wear, fretting, and impact issues in gas turbine hardware; however, responsibilities could also include support to other Turbine Module activities, if needed. Key focus of this role will be in supporting the various phases of a wear test program involving everything from generating test plan based on deliverables, acquiring test specimens, conducting tests, reducing data, communicating with the request team, maintaining and/or modifying the test rig hardware during the test program, and documenting the test results. Additionally, the applicant will work with external teams including Controlled Title Holders, ARC and MPE in the development and improvement of testing methods, tools and processes.

The base pay range for this position is 88,600.00 -147,600.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% bonus.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support various organizations and hardware owners in the wear and fretting fatigue testing of turbine components.
- Provide wear guidance, lay out potential wear test programs, and develop cost estimates.
- Coordinate and drive pre-test activities, such as purchasing items, getting parts manufactured or modified to fit test & fixture needs and preparing test specimens.
- Conduct testing, also including reducing data, documenting and communicating the results to hardware owners.
- Maintain and/or modify the test rig hardware during the test program as needed for optimal completion of the test.
- Develop python scripts, tools and spreadsheets to post process test data to speedup data reduction. Drive Lab productivity, technical excellence and process consistency by developing and updating templates; ensure techniques are adequate and uniformly implemented.
- Develop / maintain relationships with Controlled Title Holders and design experts in interfacing organizations to share methods and best practices and developing and maintaining a common wear database.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering / Science from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering/Science field).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
