Description
SAIC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to support quality assurance across Digital Transformation tools, including Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), SharePoint, ServiceNow, and automation frameworks. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and functionality of integrated business solutions by leveraging modern QA tools and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans for applications built on Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and Power BI dashboards.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Power Platform solutions.
- Validate workflows, UI policies, and scripts across ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Change, and custom apps.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data and visualizations in Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Test SharePoint solutions including lists, libraries, forms, workflows, and permission structures.
- Track and manage test cases, defects, and test execution using Azure DevOps, ensuring full lifecycle traceability from requirements to validation.
- Log, assign, and manage bugs and issues with detailed documentation using Azure DevOps Boards.
- Link test cases to user stories, features, and requirements to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelines, utilizing tools like Selenium, PowerShell, or Postman.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure alignment and coverage across all QA activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and tools.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in QA or software testing roles, with exposure to designing and executing automated test cases.
- Experience testing Microsoft platforms such as Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint (Online/On-Prem), and ServiceNow.
- Experience with creating test cases for Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, and Power BI dashboards or reports.
- Hands-on experience validating ServiceNow components including workflows, UI behavior, or business rules.
- Good Understanding of SharePoint functionality and structure.
- Exposure to automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Postman, or TestNG, preferably used within CI/CD workflows.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell (preferred), Bash, or Python.
- Experience using tools like Azure DevOps or similar platforms for test case tracking and defect reporting.
- Some experience supporting or working within data-driven testing environments.
- Foundational understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications and/or ServiceNow CSA.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- ITIL 4 certification or familiarity with ITIL service management practices.
- Experience working in DevSecOps environments or applying DevSecOps principles in testing and automation.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
