Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Cloud Developer with expertise in containerized applications and modern microservice/mesh architectures. This role offers the opportunity to work with new technologies in an AWS environment, building scalable and resilient distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop containerized .NET applications following cloud-native principles
- Implement and maintain Kubernetes deployments across multiple environments
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards
- Contribute to technical documentation and log key decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field
- 7+ years of professional experience in developing and implementing containerized .NET applications
- Proficiency in .NET Core/.NET 8+ and C#
- Proven experience using container technologies (Docker, container orchestration) for application development
- Experience in application deployments to Kubernetes-based containers
- Knowledge of application monitoring using observability tools like Datadog
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and stream or message processing
- Understanding of micro services architecture patterns
- Familiarity with containerization, best practices and multi-stage Docker builds
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Architecture experience with designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems
- Experience architecting scalable solutions using event-driven patterns with Kafka
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to design service mesh or data mesh architecture
Database Technologies (one or both):
- SQL proficiency - complex query writing, stored procedures, performance optimization
- NoSQL database experience with technologies such as: DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Kubernetes-based cluster management, service configuration, and CI/CD pipeline configuration
- Container orchestration with Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, Secrets, etc.)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, or similar)
- Familiarity with API gateway patterns and service mesh architecture
- Understanding of data pipeline orchestration tools
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual range is $113,000.00 to $145,000.00.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. It is classified as exempt under applicable law. Additionally, this position aligns with the Voyatek Career Framework as a level 04 individual contributor in a Software Development position.
