As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer Risk team of Corporate Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping information architecture solutions and will drive improved definition, classification, registration, and governance of our data stores, events, and APIs across the SDLC. By adopting modern data standards, best practices, tooling, and training we are leveraging automation to maximize data use/transparency, minimize cost/effort, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls as we migrate to the cloud.

This role is ideal for a visionary architect who is passionate about data architecture and has the expertise to lead complex architectural initiatives across multiple business lines.

Job responsibilities
  • Accelerates data definition and metadata capture through automation, shifting data governance from 'by process' to 'by exception'
  • Collaborates with lead engineers and architects to integrate contextual data definition into tools engineers and analysts use
  • Elevates data to a first class citizen across our SDLC and modeling
  • Sharpens data standards and controls around data lifecycle, including implementation of visible and actionable data contracts
  • Drives adoption of automation, scoring and profiling to streamline our data management
  • Collaborates with Corporate Technology and line-of-business technology teams to design and socialize solutions that support data registration and compliance.
  • Participates in Risk Technology and cross line-of-business architecture governance and tollgate processes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and leverage new techniques and technologies to enhance our data management solutions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling and relevant tools like ERWIN.
  • Proven experience in data architecture, including OLTP, data warehousing and lakes, and working knowledge of data mesh architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance approaches, including handling of PI, PCI, highly confidential data and records management
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud data services

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Prior experience of Chase systems & Data structures
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership presence
