Summary


We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Support Specialist to join a growing organization and take ownership of IT operations for the Cedar Rapids region. This individual will play a dual role-providing hands-on technical support to local users while also leading regional initiatives, building out support capabilities, and ensuring smooth technology operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving, and is eager to take on leadership responsibilities as the organization continues to expand.




Responsibilities




  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support within the Cedar Rapids region.




  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and business applications.




  • Oversee deployment and setup of workstations, monitors, printers, and related peripherals.




  • Manage and update hardware inventories in alignment with asset management standards.




  • Respond to IT service requests via phone, email, or in person, ensuring timely resolution.




  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.




  • Support and maintain printers, copiers, and other multifunction devices.




  • Train employees on IT systems and promote best practices for efficient technology use.




  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff as the regional team expands.




  • Coordinate regional technology initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional departments.




  • Assist in the maintenance and management of company phone and mobile systems.




  • Document IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.




  • Travel occasionally to support nearby offices or project sites as needed.






Skills




  • 3+ years of IT support experience in a corporate or field-based environment.




  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and networking.




  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows operating systems.




  • Familiarity with asset management, phone systems, and mobile device administration.




  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.




  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead regional support initiatives.




  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
