Our client in Downtown Los Angeles, CA is actively seeking a Salesforce Developer on a contract basis for 12 months and possibly longer. The Salesforce Developer will assist with the development and implementation of modifications to application and be responsible for helping with requirements analysis, development, build-out and testing of the applications.

The contractor must be able to provide expert system architectural design and development consulting by possessing the qualifications listed below:
Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop components and functionalities on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL
• Configuration and Customization by creating custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, etc.
• Designing and implementing efficient data models within Salesforce, as well as handling data migrations, data quality initiatives, and data security
• Writing unit tests, conducting system testing, and participating in user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
• JavaScript development
• Implement or utilize APIs
• Author and maintain documentation for code, as well as develop functional specifications and technical documentation
• Work collaboratively with a team of application developers and business leads
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats with internal and external teams
• Perform code reviews of work produced by other members of the development team
• Debug problems and troubleshoot application issues
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
• Ability to write secure, reusable, and maintainable code that adheres to software development best practices.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of Salesforce application development
• Minimum 3 years of JavaScript development experience
• In-depth knowledge of implementing Salesforce applications with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Public Sector Foundation
• Proficiency in Salesforce-specific programming languages like Apex and SOQL
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with XML or JSON and API integrations
• Experience with code release processes and version control using Git and Salesforce DX

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Salesforce Certification is a plus (Platform Developer, App Developer, etc.)
• Experience optimizing code for system speed and performance
• Strong QA skills - able to review work and thoroughly test code
• Ability to assess business requirements and efficiently design, develop, and implement software solutions to meet those needs
