API Integrations Software Engineer
Our client is on a mission to revolutionize the space economy by enabling rapid and reliable access to space. In addition to building out the launch systems that will bring this mission to reality, they've also built a robust SaaS platform used by internal teams and a growing list of external customers that helps run smart engineering, prototyping, and build practices. This product is used by designers, engineers, assemblers, and specialist makers so they can deliver advanced hardware for their customers.
They're currently seeking contract Software Engineers to help build external API connectors between application and key enterprise systems. Successful candidates must have experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable API integrations, as well as a strong background in enterprise software systems, data models, and security best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned Developers to help a rapidly growing startup expand their SaaS platform and get exposure to cutting edge Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing industries.
This is a 6 month contract opportunity w/full benefits (potential to extend or convert to full time if fit and budget are there)
What you'll do:
  • Design, build, and maintain custom and reusable integration components between our platform and enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, MES, SCM, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient RESTful and GraphQL APIs
  • Implement and manage data synchronization strategies, ensuring consistency and reliability across integrated systems
  • Optimize API performance and scalability, ensuring seamless real-time and batch data exchange
What we're looking for:
  • 3-5 years experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable API integrations
  • Strong understanding of authentication(OAuth2, OIDC,JWT,SAML)and data security best practices
  • Experience integrating with enterprise software (such as SAP, Teamcenter, Oracle, Siemens, Dassault, PTC Windchill)
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js,one or more major statically-typed languages(Java, C#, Kotlin, etc.) GraphQL, REST APIs, and Postgres
  • Advanced understanding of distributed systems principles, including consistency models, fault tolerance, and scalability patterns
  • Hone/
Remote Role (PDT hours) w/onsite travel to the Seattle area one week every other month
