THIS ROLE IS HYBRID ONSITE IN ORANGE, CA. (ONSITE EVERY WEDNESDAY AND THEN FOR 1 WEEK A MONTH YOU'D BE 3-5 DAYS ONSITE).

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst: technical user story writing (app migration to SaaS product)
The Sr. Business Analyst II is responsible for collaborating with team members in writing, reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining business requirements and related documents for application development initiatives and operational maintenance. The successful candidate must be able to perform detailed process analysis that drive technical/application changes and/or operational/service changes.
Responsibilities:
- Support evaluation methodologies of operational and technical processes.
- Perform hands-on planning, gathering, documentation, and maintenance of business requirements, including workflow analysis and process engineering.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of business process purposes, dependencies, and related systems.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to determine and execute the appropriate elicitation methods to research, define and document business processes.
- Write and maintain clean, concise, and consistent User Stories which accurately decompose high-level concepts and requirements into detailed, workable deliverables for the development team.
- Provide detailed clarification of business requirements to developers, quality assurance engineers, vendors, etc. throughout the project and development life cycle.
- Collaborate on the development of user acceptance test plans and support their execution to ensure that requirements and quality objectives are satisfied for product owners.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts on performing peer reviews.
- Act as liaison between Program Managers, Project Managers, Product Owners, Marketing, and IT teams as appropriate.
- Facilitate open and clear communication and coordination.
- Apply critical thinking, communication, and process analysis skills.
- Participate in Scrum activities including, but not limited to, Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives.
- Cover duties for coworkers as needed.
- Work in unison with the User Experience team to ensure that designs are user-centric and meet the needs of various user roles.
- Work in an agile environment that promotes incremental delivery.
- Perform gap analysis to close gaps between business requirements and the delivered product.
- On-site or remote regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
- Performs other business tasks or functions as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Five to eight (5-8) years in a recent senior level Business Analyst role.
- Relevant professional Business Analysis Certifications preferred.
- Health Insurance industry experience preferred.
- Experience, working knowledge, and ability to apply Business Analysis best practices.
- Recent strong technical user story writing skills
- Recent experience using a Business Requirements documentation tool like JAMA
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and synthesize requirements and user stories from Technical Design and Architecture Documents
- Ability to write and maintain clear and concise requirement artifacts (documents, process flows, samples, etc.); able to write requirements that support incremental delivery.
- Clearly communicate technical issues and constraints to business partners and business problems and objectives to technologists.
- Demonstrate expert facilitation skills in both one-on-one, small-group and large-group settings.
- Ability to function professionally and calmly in high stress situations; ability to adapt to change and redirection in objectives to meet business demands.
- Work effectively and interact with all levels of the organization, including effective leadership.
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand the business goals.
- Effectively conceptualize, apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information to determine solutions.
- Question assumptions to ascertain their validity and evaluate appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrate ability to plan and manage small to large-scale project requirements, while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities and development of best practices.
- Demonstrate a customer-focused attitude and the ability to work proactively and efficiently with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines, without compromising quality.
- Promote a culture of trust with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience using Auzre DevOps, Team Foundation Service (TFS) or similar tools.
- Experience with Requirement Management software preferred.
- Adhere to all PHI (Protected Health Information) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines.
- Normal business hours and as needed.
- On-call availability as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasional standing and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $50-60/hr W2
