Worldwide Technology is looking for a Network Engineer . This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Title: Network Engineer

Location: IOWA

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $50 to $60 hourly (Rate range is on C2C basis). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

  • Solid knowledge of configuring and managing Cisco switches and routing protocols (especially OSPF and BGP).
  • Palo Alto experience needed
  • Experience with network management tools (e.g., ISE, Panorama); automation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including subnetting.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain network infrastructure across three affiliates, including lifecycle projects, new site installs, switch/firewall replacements, and incident response.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, responding to NOC calls and potentially being on-site at the data center as needed.
  • Handle compliance duties, including NERC CIP requirements and associated training.

Experience & Soft Skills:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates showing commitment (not frequent job changes).
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and learn quickly.

This role may require on-location work with WWT customers. Some customers may require WWT employees and contractors coming on-site to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or to receive frequent negative COVID-19 testing.
