Team Overview

9th Way Insignia is looking for a business-minded Solutions Developer - Applied Analytics with hands-on experience using no-code and low-code tools like Power BI and Alteryx to rapidly turn messy data into clean, usable insights. This is not a coder role - we're looking for a pragmatic problem-solver who can understand the business challenge, propose a smart data-driven solution, and quickly build it using modern platforms.

You'll be working closely with business leads and stakeholders to understand goals and metrics, explore available data, and design dashboards, reports, and automation workflows. Ideal candidates are comfortable with APIs, ETL processes, and data wrangling, but approach problems from a business-first mindset.

Professional Level Information
The Solutions Developer - Applied Analytics position aligns as an Engineer 3 at 9th Way Insignia. An Engineer 3 plans and directs research and development on complex projects, leads design and development efforts, and makes recommendations affecting cost decisions and architectural design components. An Engineer 3 oversees the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems, has broad knowledge of engineering methodologies, and assists in complex problem resolution. An Engineer 3 has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of problem-solving skills and innovative thinking to resolve a wide variety of technical challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Translate business questions into data solutions using tools like Power BI and Alteryx
  • Build dashboards and workflows that automate and visualize insights from complex data
  • Develop ETL pipelines using Alteryx, Power Query, or similar drag-and-drop tools
  • Interface with APIs to fetch and integrate external data sources
  • Work independently to scope, design, and deliver data products with minimal oversight
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and refine requirements
  • Think critically and creatively about data challenges and deliver practical results

Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, BIS, or a related business + tech field
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx
  • Experience working with APIs and connecting data from multiple sources
  • Strong SQL and/or scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, etc. a plus but not required)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working without micromanagement - can take a goal and figure out the best path
  • Alteryx Core certification preferred

Salary Range

$98,135 - $130,000 USD

9thWay Insignia's range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
