Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Network System Engineer to provide technical support to our program based in Chantilly. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including systems services administration, server provisioning, network integration, repository management, network-attached storage management, hardware administration, and document and compliance management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technology field, or equivalent industry experience
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly to be considered for this position
- Expertise in configuring and administering Juniper and Cisco network devices
- Should be skilled in the configuration and administration of NAS devices, specifically QNAP and Synology
- Proficiency in managing network infrastructure hardware, including KVM switches, terminal servers, etc
- Strong experience in administering Linux systems
- Competency in setting up and managing virtualized environments such as VMWare and KVM
- Knowledge in managing power and environmental network hardware, including UPS, Remote Power Control (RPC), and rack cooling systems
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment
