Job title: Development Product Owner

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Product Owner to join our dynamic team in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong core Product Owner skills, possessing a strong knowledge of SDLC with a prior development background or IT Systems Analyst background, and experience collaborating with distributed teams. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both leadership and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Control Automation Infrastructure team and IT applications to automate manual processes of Control Testing to identify gaps.
Manage and prioritize multiple backlogs, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Create and maintain product backlogs from scratch, ensuring they are well-groomed and actionable.
Collaborate with distributed teams to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively with leadership to provide updates and insights, and with development teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
Ensure backlog management and provide sufficient work for development teams to action on each week.
Handle quick turnaround requests from the business and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
Strong core Product Owner skills, including backlog management, grooming, and collaboration.
Strong knowledge of SDLC with a background in development or IT Systems Analysis
Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with both leadership and development teams.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory environments in financial services, banking, or healthcare industries.
Experience with SAFe framework and relevant certifications (POPM, CSPO, PSPO) is highly desirable.
Proficiency with JIRA (Atlassian Suite) is essential.
Experience with automating manual processes of control testing
Required Tools/Technologies:
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner with a solid Agile background.
Prior development background or IT Systems Analyst background

Microsoft Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services or related industries.
