Position Title: Sr. SQL DBA
Location: Little Rock, AR
Interview Process: Webcam OR In-person Interview
Position Type: Contract

Seeking an experienced Sr. SQL Server DBA to install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Servers, ensure database performance and security, manage backups and disaster recovery, and support high availability environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and upgrade SQL Server, apply patches

  • Perform routine DB maintenance (indexing, stats, consistency checks)

  • Monitor and troubleshoot using native tools (Profiler, Extended Events, DMVs)

  • Manage SQL Server security, auditing, and encryption

  • Plan and manage storage and capacity

  • Develop and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies

  • Support high availability (Mirroring, Always On)

  • T-SQL development, tuning, and ETL tasks

Requirements:

  • 4+ years SQL Server and Windows Server administration

  • Experience with PowerShell, clustering, .NET components

  • Knowledge of server roles (Web, FTP, File), Active Directory, and security standards

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

  • Availability for 24/7 support

Preferred:

  • Experience with GenTax/DS-VS

  • Knowledge of cloud, firewall, email systems, and web services
