Job Description:
We are hiring a Lead Firmware Engineer to join a cutting-edge firmware development team working on next-generation video streaming systems. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise in Embedded Linux/Android firmware development and secure embedded systems to life in a high-impact, collaborative environment.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the entire firmware development lifecycle from concept and design to implementation, testing, and support while adhering to strict security and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
< data-start="1032" data-end="1063">Development & Design</>Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain firmware for embedded video streaming products.
Analyze system requirements and translate them into feasible, scalable firmware solutions.
Build modular and component-based architectures with clean communication paths.
Enforce best practices in firmware development and project management processes.
Drive bug root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Work closely with technology management teams for new product definition and feasibility analysis.
Partner with technical support teams to resolve field issues with deployed products.
Stay current with industry trends and integrate modern technologies into development workflows.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development on Linux/Android platforms.
Expert in Embedded Linux U-Boot, kernel development, and HAL customization.
Experience with Google AOSP, Android HAL, and debugging at the framework level.
Proficient in C and C++, multi-threaded programming, IPC, and resource management.
Strong knowledge of ARM Trusted Firmware, TrustZone, QTEE, OP-TEE, or Trusty TEE.
Understanding of security features: Secure Boot, SELinux, hardware keystore.
Familiarity with network security protocols (TLS, SSL, PKI, OpenSSL, X.509).
Strong analytical and communication skills; must be self-motivated and team-oriented.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with Qualcomm BSP (TZBSP) or similar.
Background in video streaming or multimedia firmware is a strong plus.
