Recruiting for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer - Power BI for a client in Irvine, CA
Contract with a possibility to hire.
Senior BI Developer will play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our business intelligence solutions to empower users with valuable insights while ensuring data integrity and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the self-service BI platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their BI requirements and provide guidance on leveraging self-service capabilities.
- Implement best practices for user adoption, training, and documentation to maximize the platform's effectiveness.
- Establish and enforce BI governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of BI data.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement BI governance standards and practices.
- Lead the development of complex Power BI Semantic models, dashboards, and reports.
- Collaborate with other developers and analysts to streamline BI development processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and IT teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Create comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their proficiency in utilizing the Power BI platform.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a BI developer with a focus on self-service BI platforms.
- Strong expertise Power BI
- In-depth understanding of BI governance principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience developing BI reports in healthcare environment.
