Role Overview:
The Appian Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian low-code platform. This role involves collaborating with business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to create robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications that automate workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy process automation and workflow applications using the . This includes building user interfaces (using SAIL), process models, records, and business rules.
- System Integration: Integrate Appian applications with external systems, databases, and APIs to create seamless, end-to-end business solutions.
- Requirements Analysis: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to Appian development best practices, architecture frameworks, and coding standards. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Testing and Optimization: Participate in application testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) and debugging to ensure functionality and optimal performance. Conduct system performance tuning as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide support and maintenance for existing Appian applications, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, test plans, and release notes.
