The Role:
The Network Engineering Operations Group is responsible for the day-to-day support of Bloomberg's AMER Private Network Infrastructure. The team is looking for an Infrastructure Process Manager/ Data Analyst who has experience in collecting, managing and reporting on data sets through different industry standardized tools as well as exposure in Network/IT infrastructure working with 3rd party Colocation facilities to support our rapidly expanding Data Centers and Hosting Services in North America.

Salary Range: 160,000 - 215,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.

The team is looking for an Infrastructure Process Manager/ Data Analyst who has experience in collecting, managing and reporting on data sets through different industry standardized tools as well as exposure in Network/IT infrastructure working with 3rd party Colocation facilities to support our rapidly expanding Data Centers and Hosting Services in North America.
Day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Collect, manage, analyze and report on global infrastructure data for over 100+ network locations
- Ability to integrate industry standard analytical tools with internal Bloomberg proprietary tools to effectively manage data and ensure data is fit for purpose and ready to use
- Liaise with other departments, such as Programming, Operations and Engineering as well as external parties to maintain and enhance our databases
- Apply problem solving and data analytic skills to identify inconsistencies and inefficiencies and provide recommendations of improvement
- Provide support to our Infrastructure teams for activities at the data centers including capacity management, hardware deployments, site access, access lists and process/procedural and initiative roll out
- Documentation management including maintaining and enhancing workflows, runbooks, templates utilizing industry tools such as BBGIT, Jira, Atlassian/ Confluence, SharePoint and Google docs
- Coordinating vendor operational procedures with Bloomberg Networks operational procedures
- Interaction with maintenance teams, external vendors and Bloomberg staff at all levels. Manage Data Center incident reporting and track issues to closure
The Requirements
- 5+ years of working in an operational IT/ Data Center environment, preferably in the colocation industry.
- Must have proven experience in client relationship management, operations/ service management (ITIL), project management (PMP, Prince2)
- High level experience in collecting/aggregating data sets in excel, mysql etc.
- Experience utilizing industry tools and integrating data sets such as API's with GUTS, Grafana, Humio, Splunk and Qliksense/Power BI
- Effective time management skills required in order to prioritize projects and meet business demands in a constantly changing environment to ensure overall project success.
- Management and performance reporting on ticket handling, SLA's, and other Ops management metrics. Experience with some form of ticketing system.
Would love to see
- A degree/ qualification in an area relating to Technical/ Computer Science
- Data Center qualification (i.e. CDCMP) would be advantageous
- Knowledge of power and space management within Data Centers and an understanding of Sustainability
- Knowledge of facilities infrastructure (UPS, Generators, Data Center cooling and AC/DC power systems)
- Familiarity to read floor plans, schematic and construction drawings
- An understanding of quality management and continuous improvement, proven ability to implement improvements in day-to-day operations and processes
