Description
We are looking for a skilled IT Analyst specializing in Desktop Support to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term contract position requires on-site work four days a week. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless computer operations and providing technical support to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Replace outdated computers with newly deployed systems, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
Perform operating system upgrades, including transitioning systems to updated Windows versions.
Execute computer imaging processes with precision to prepare devices for deployment.
Safely dispose of obsolete IT assets in compliance with organizational standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to maintain system functionality.
Provide user support for desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and internet functions.
Ensure all systems adhere to established computer security policies and protocols.
Collaborate with team members to optimize desktop configuration and deployment strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets and support activities.
Assist in managing Active Directory and backup technologies as needed.
Requirements
Solid understanding of computing and networking fundamentals.
Proficiency in using standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
Familiarity with computer security policies and general security concepts.
At least 1 year of IT experience preferred; entry level candidates with relevant knowledge will also be considered.
Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience; high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable.
Experience with computer hardware, imaging, and desktop deployment processes.
Ability to configure and manage Active Directory and backup technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical troubleshooting.
