Scope/Description of Services:

Perform Appian design and development Systems Analyst work in support of Information Technology projects. Duties include independent design and implementation of various Appian-based application systems. Contribute to the implementation of the software development lifecycle activities from development and testing to implementation and support activities per project requirements. Design, implement, validate, and deploy new applications using the latest Appian technology. Develop user interfaces, process models and data storage in the low code Appian environment. Develop code, create artifacts like test specifications, perform testing and implement relevant go live activities. Analyze project requirements and the environment to ensure solutions consider current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Work within the framework to conduct impact analysis and prepare technical user stories required for development. Use standardized project management processes, tools, and techniques to address project needs. Assist with creating, maintaining, and enforcing global standards. Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to facilitate and support team projects. Manage availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of Appian by engineering reliability into software and systems. Mentor junior Appian developers. Develop the internal Appian development best practices and design guide. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.

Required skills:

  • 4-7 years of Experience with Appian components including Process Models, SAIL Forms, CDTs, records, reports, and integration
  • 4-7 years of Experience in building Appian CDTs and application integration with databases, including MySQL, Amazon RDS
  • 4-7 years of Experience as a systems analyst in a technical or analytical field
  • 4-7 years of Hands-on experience in design, and implementation of applications
  • 4-7 years of Experience creating project documentation such as: system design specifications, architectural diagrams, flowcharts, screen prototypes, and wireframes
  • 4-7 years of Experience with a Test Tool, such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Octane (Or earlier versions of ALM)
  • 4-7 years of Experience in database management systems (IBM Data Studio, Squirrel)
  • 4-7 years As a Systems Analyst
  • 4-7 years of Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, and UX/UI tools

Preferred skills:

  • 4 years of Appian Certified Analyst/Developer/Senior Developer
  • 4 years of SQL Language
  • 4 years of Agile or Hybrid Software Development Methodologies
  • Texas Workforce Commission experience
