Position Summary

We're looking for an accomplished and well-rounded Cyber Security Architect with an extensive security background. As a Cyber Security Architect at Life Time, you will help us achieve a world-class security posture to protect critical assets and applications for the company and its customers.

You are relied on by your teammates and coworkers as a technical contributor with a focus on achieving security by design throughout all stages of product development. Your primary goal is to protect Life Time's applications, systems, and data from internal and external threats. You work collaboratively with other teams to identify and address security issues throughout our application delivery infrastructure and cloud services. You help plan, research, design and implement security architectures. You work to prevent potential security incidents and respond quickly and thoroughly in the event an incident occurs. You act as an advocate for the Cyber Security team, evangelizing best practices for the company.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Partners with technology teams to help them incorporate security by design
• Performs DevSecOps functions including security code reviews, CI/CD pipeline security, penetration testing, and assist with incorporating security features into products and platforms
• Designs, builds, implements, and supports enterprise-class information security systems
• Recommends modifications to application development, networking, or cloud infrastructure
• Monitors emerging products, technologies or best practices that will improve security for the organization
• Responds quickly and effectively to security incidents and provide post-event analysis

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard office procedures and computer software
• Extensive understanding of modern security architecture concepts and security-by-design principles
• Deep understanding of one or more security frameworks (NIST, MITRE, etc) and how to incorporate them
• Experience deploying and managing web application firewall (WAF) technology
• Able to produce high-quality documentation (system design, wiki pages, etc)
• In-depth experience with SIEM and logging platforms
• Experience with vulnerability management processes & tools
• Excellent teaching, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education:

• BA or BSs Degree in a technical field or related field

Years of Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a security engineer or similar role

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• SANS GIAC Certifications (GCIA, GWAPT, or similar)
• CompTIA Security+
• CISSP

Preferred Qualifications

• Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Cloud security experience with Azure or AWS offerings
• Experience with red team / penetration test processes & tools

Pay
This is a salaried position starting at $136,000.00 and pays up to $187,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
