A client of ours is looking for a Security Analyst - Senior IAM Administrator for a contract to possible hire opportunity. Qualified candidates will have the following qualifications:
We are seeking a skilled Senior IAM Administrator to manage and support the identity and access management services within our infrastructure team. The Senior IAM Administrator will play a key role in ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant access to critical applications and systems. This position acts as an escalation point, supporting a separate administrative team responsible for front-line IAM support. The IAM Senior Administrator will collaborate with the IAM Engineering Team as well as the Information Security Access Management team to maintain policy alignment and assist with IAM modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: - IAM Administration: Configure, manage, and maintain IAM solutions to ensure consistent operation and alignment with infrastructure standards and organizational security policies. - Access Control Implementation: Maintain and administer role-based access control (RBAC) models and other access management frameworks in collaboration with the Information Security team. - Access Governance & Compliance: Support access review and certification processes, ensuring compliance with governance and internal control standards. - Incident Management: Serve as an escalation point for IAM-related incidents, resolving complex issues escalated by the front-line IAM support team. - Documentation & Process Optimization: Maintain accurate documentation for IAM configurations and processes, identifying opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reducing access-related risks. - Modernization Projects: Contribute to IAM modernization efforts, including the onboarding of critical applications and the integration of new IAM technologies. - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Information Security, and administrative support, to ensure cohesive IAM operations.
Qualifications:
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
Experience: - 3+ years of experience in identity and access management, security, or IT infrastructure roles. - 3+ years of experience in IAM, security, or IT infrastructure roles, with prior team lead experience preferred. - Hands-on experience with IAM platforms such as Active Directory, Okta, Saviynt, SailPoint, or similar tools. - Solid understanding of IAM principles, including SSO, MFA, and directory services.
Technical Skills: - Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and integration. - Knowledge of access governance, compliance standards, and IAM best practices. - Strong troubleshooting skills for IAM solutions. Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective collaboration skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Detail-oriented with a focus on improving processes and enhancing user experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions (e.g., ForgeRock, Ping, Saviynt). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Identity and Access Manager, CompTIA Security+, CISSP). - Familiarity with IAM governance frameworks and tools.
