Overview
We are currently seeking a Safety Professional that will be a critical member of a U.S.-based global systems integrator providing technology solutions and services for commercial and government clients. This is a full-time permanent role supporting our program in Moncks Corner, SC.

The Safety Professional will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining a safe working environment within our organization. They will work under the guidance of experienced safety professionals and management to develop and implement safety policies and programs. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about workplace safety and eager to grow in their career.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Stay up to date with relevant laws and standards and assist in the development and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
Training and Awareness
  • Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
  • Encourage safety awareness and best practices among team members.
Incident Reporting
  • Promptly investigate and report any workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses.
  • Help with the compilation of incident reports and contribute to the development of corrective actions.
Safety Inspections
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace, equipment, and facilities.
  • Identify potential hazards and work with senior safety professionals to implement corrective measures.
Emergency Response
  • Participate in the development of emergency response plans and drills.
  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable about emergency procedures and assist during drills or actual emergencies.
Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety-related data.
  • Generate reports for management and regulatory agencies as needed.
Safety Committees
  • Participate in safety committees and meetings.
  • Collaborate with team members to address safety concerns and make recommendations for improvements.
Safety Communication
  • Assist in the creation and dissemination of safety communications, such as safety bulletins, posters, and newsletters.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Monitor the use of PPE and ensure its availability.
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of appropriate PPE.
Continuous Improvement
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve safety processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to safety projects and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • OSHA #510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry
  • Less than 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • Has experience as a site safety professional.
  • Electrical experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and investigations.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing safety practices.
Education / Certifications
  • Certifications or training in safety (e.g., First Aid/CPR) is a plus.
Working Conditions
  • This position typically works in a field environment but may also require office work and exposure to various workplace environments.
  • May involve occasional travel to other company locations.
