Senior CAD Technician

Department: Transportation

Reporting To: Heather Allred

Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 / hour

As a Senior CAD Technician, you will manage, draft, and design projects, taking ownership from start to finish.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Draft and design projects for transportation, transit, rail and more
  • Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
  • Prepare plans and layouts generated in OpenRoads Designer software
  • Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Manage project data files from various sources
  • Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Advanced skills using OpenRoads Designer with Plan Productions tools is a plus
  • Experienced in detailing as well as plan and profile, site plans, drainage, grading, utilities (profiles), SWPPP, broadband, rail, transit and associated items
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally
  • Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
  • Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment
  • 5-10 years' experience utilizing OpenRoads Designer/Microstation
  • Associates degree preferred; equivalent experience and training will be considered
