Role Description:

As a Sr Network Implementation Engineer within our Core IP Planning & Implementation organization, you will work on Service Providers IP and Ethernet Data networks for our Enterprise and Government customers. This involves deployment of Network Routers, Switches, Servers, probes, Security appliances in our Gateways and Data Centers, as well as our Financial and large customer locations. You will also perform Network Configuration/Router protocols on the Service Provider CORE IP / Data Network devices. Apply advanced engineering and Telecommunications network principles, theories, concepts and technologies to solve unusually complex problems and issues. Able to be lead for cross- functional teaming to improve processes, workflows and streamlining of functions to drive efficiency within the business. Analyze complex local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment; inclusive of, planning, designing, evaluating, selecting protocol suites and configuration of network devices.Lead in resolution of difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms.Evaluate, define and determine methods and procedures, standards, requirements and recommendations of standard configurations for network elements. Working and troubleshooting network-related problems during change management windows while working with field operations techs at remote sites.Work closely with the vendor?s technical support (Nokia, Cisco, Juniper TAC support teams) in opening and closing out trouble cases pertaining to network configuration and hardware malfunction.
