Job Details

Apptech Group is urgently looking for a Senior Data Architect with in-depth experience.

The Data Architect designs and supports scalable data architecture solutions for enterprise applications and analytics systems. Working under senior architects, this role contributes to data model development, integration design, and performance optimization for data-centric systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing logical and physical data models for operational and analytical systems.
  • Design and manage enterprise data architecture across agencies.
  • Define data governance, standards, and integration for reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Develop data dictionaries, lineage, and warehousing strategies.
  • Enable support for predictive analytics, BI, and machine learning readiness.
  • Experience with Epic data models and public health data systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience in multi-agency data governance and interoperability planning.
  • Document data lineage, metadata, and schema definitions in alignment with data governance standards.
  • Perform data profiling, quality checks, and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of data technologies and modernization efforts.
  • Align data solutions with security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 12+ years of experience in data architecture or data management roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one data modeling tool (Erwin, Toad, dbt).
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Hands-on experience with data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory).
