Job Description

The candidate is primarily responsible for analyzing data and producing various reports using SQL, MS office, Power BI and Tableau. The candidate will be working with the Agency's leadership team to understand the goals and will create various visualizations and presentations that transform data into the basis for the agency's policy and financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing annual report exhibits and visualizations, statistical reports, projections and forecast analysis by using multiple databases.
  • Researching quality measure specifications, validating denominators, numerators and final rates which are generated and submitted to the regulatory agency.
  • Preparing and analyzing cost report information (nursing homes, hospitals and other providers) into comparative reports to assess profitability and solvency.
  • Developing agency short and long-term forecasting models, accounting for significant variables which influence outcomes.
  • Facilitate data integration from financial systems, claim systems, eligibility systems and third-party sources into adhoc and standardized reports for the agency.
  • Providing accurate reports in a timely manner for all the share-point requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Health administration , Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics or other related field.
  • 5-7 years of Data Analytics work experience in healthcare industry/insurance/finance/economics/statistics industry.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in using computer tools (excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, SAS) to develop analytics models and perform analysis.
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining management reporting systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, SQL querying, power BI and Tableau visualization skills required.
  • Proficiency with MS office tools, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to set and meet deadlines, good reporting and data visualization skills, excellent attention to details and ability to work in high pressure situations.
  • Works on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity in identifying new problems/issues/concerns and then using analytical modeling techniques to develop relevant information.

Preference:

  • Data visualization and preferably working with Power BI visualization and SQL querying.
  • Preferably worked on Data Analytics Jobs
  • Masters level education in Data Analytics, or Computer Engineering
