Title: Senior Test Lead
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Playwright and extensive experience in integrating automated testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead testing efforts, ensure the highest quality of software delivery, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Testing Efforts: Oversee the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts using Playwright to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software releases.
Expertise in using Playwright for end-to-end testing, including setting up and configuring Playwright
Advanced Playwright Features: Knowledge of handling assertions, API mocking, authentication handling, mobile testing, and integrating Playwright with CI/CD
Deployment: Containerized deployment of automation script
Cross-Browser Testing: Ability to run tests across multiple browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
CI/CD Integration: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle and ensure continuous integration and delivery
Thorough understanding of requirements and transforming them to test cases & test scripts
Test Strategy Development: Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and schedules to meet project goals and timelines
Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to identify and resolve issues, and ensure seamless integration of testing processes
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Reporting: Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress, results, and quality status to stakeholders
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Playwright Expert (3+) or Software Test Engineer (7+) with a strong focus on automation
Strong expertise in Playwright MCP and integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
In-depth knowledge of Playwright framework and its capabilities
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Relevant certifications in software testing or CI/CD practices
Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing testing teams
