Linux & Cloud Engineer

This role is targeted towards an accomplished Linux engineer with a proven track record in orchestrating and leading on-premises to cloud migrations. You will need to bring with you a wealth of experience navigating the intricacies of both cloud-native environments and traditional on-premises infrastructure.

My client is looking for someone with at least 5-10 years of experience and has successfully overseen migrations from on-premises setups to cloud platforms and is well-versed in the nuances of cloud computing.

However, what truly distinguishes a candidate for this role is your ability to bridge the gap between on-premises and cloud technologies. With a solid background in on-premises technologies like virtualization, you bring a comprehensive understanding of traditional infrastructure to the table. This will enable you to seamlessly integrate on-premises systems with cloud environments, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal performance across hybrid deployments.

Moreover, the ideal candidate has experience in managing High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments both on-premises and in the cloud. This unique blend of experiences positions you to be an invaluable asset, particularly in organizations with complex computing requirements that span across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.

Location: 3 days onsite in New York City and 2 days remote

Salary: $200k-$275k base salary plus bonus
