Job Description
*** Onsite 2 days a week in Plano, Portsmouth, or Boston***
Required Experience:
8+ years of architecture experience in a multi-platform distributed environment at a leading insurance company
Required Qualifications:
Strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principles and technology modernization
Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs
Experience in messaging platforms, protocols, and techniques such as Kafka, and event sourcing
Experience with event-based application architecture and design
Experience developing applications in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
Experience in a wide variety of data storage technologies, from RDBMS to NoSQL, Graph and object storage
Experience with gathering end user requirements and writing technical documentation leveraging frameworks such as TOGAF and/or C4 Modeling
Experience with leading Insurance SaaS platforms such as Guidewire is a bonus
Responsibilities:
Partner with aligned platform architect and business stakeholders to evolve the service architecture towards our North Star
Help establish a clear, consistent technology vision through collaboration, influence, and enablement
Research, define and recommend the north star architecture for the service area; assist with its implementation
Drive technology proof of concepts and benchmarks to ensure the feasibility of architecture platform solutions
Support senior technical individual contributors
