Overview
LMI seeks a Mid or Senior-level Operations Analyst in the NCR to support modeling, simulation, operational analysis, and GEOINT analytics to support NGA's mission. A successful LMI Operations Analysts demonstrate competency in critical thinking, relationship management, domain understanding, system engineering, and data analysis while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Our operations analysts specialize in employing models to represent mission information in all domains and at all levels (subsystems, platforms, and capabilities). We're looking for a skilled Operations Analyst with deep Operations/Campaign-level analysis experience who can provide strategic architecture/design insights to deliver on an integrated system to more rapidly enable the best decisions to be made as quickly as possible for the end user. Our cloud-deployed pipelines will ensure scalability and security, helping to transform NGA's GEOINT capabilities.

Our cloud-deployed pipelines will ensure scalability and security, helping to transform NGA's GEOINT capabilities.
In this role you will:
- Engage with space-related customers to understand their space-related analysis needs and translate them strategically into work products.
- Understand, manage, and translate current and Future Operational Concepts (FOCs) and Operations/Campaign scenarios (e.g. JFOS-Joint Force Operational Scenarios) into scalable MBSE data models which interact with and augment the existing subsystems, platforms, capabilities, and mission models.
- Engage NGA/allied customers to translate GEOINT needs into work products.
- Model GEOINT operational scenarios (e.g., Five Eyes missions) in our MBSE framework, integrating multi-source imagery and demonstrate GEOINT insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with software architects, senior developers, other operations analysts, data scientists, and other leadership to help architect/design interaction of the MBSE data models w/ other critical software capabilities and components to deliver mission success.
- Dive into research on technical development aspects to ensure Operations/Campaign models are accurate and be able to demonstrate analytical products and analyses to customers.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 10+ years of professional experience or master's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of professional experience. May substitute educational degree for experience.
- Expertise in GEOINT operational analysis for national security/allied missions.
- GEOINT knowledge: imagery analysis, change detection, maritime/infrastructure analysis, ISR.
- NGA/DoD/IC GEOINT experience in operational/analytical roles.
- Relevant joint space warfighting experience in an operational, science and technology, or operational test organization.
- Exposure to modeling, simulation, and analysis tools e.g. ArcGIS, ENVI.
- Proven track record of engaging with customers, product users, and coworkers to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Possess a natural curiosity and desire to challenge yourself and those around you.
- This position requires an active security clearance at the Top Secret level, with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
Nice to have:
- Cameo Systems Modeler (or similar) MBSE authoring software and SysML (Systems Modeling Language) experience.
- Experience using both Scrum and Kanban
- Generative AI knowledge
